Rapidly changing markets and industries have now forced employees to consider shifting employers when beneficial to them as opposed to staying with the same company over the course of their career. This combined with the arrival of Internet technologies and job portals such as Monster, Naukri etc resulted in greater attrition and heightened competition for talent making Recruitment a critical activity. Most enterprises have been unable to transform their internal recruitment and HR operations to deal with the rising criticality of hiring and have not been able to get internal departments to accept Service Level Agreements and hence are looking to outsource the recruitment activity to specialized organizations called RPOs that act as an extension of the enterprise. |

Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) is a form of business process outsourcing (BPO) when an employer outsources or transfers all or part of the staffing process to an external service provider. RPOs manage the entire recruiting/hiring process from job profiling to on-boarding of the new hire, including staff, technology, method and reporting. A properly managed RPO will improve a company’s time to hire, increase the quality of the candidate pool, provide verifiable metrics, reduce cost, improve governmental compliance and consequently impact the top line and bottom line of the company.
